The Jewelry Trend Report 2023

Here are the biggest styles and motifs from this season’s shows. From Schiaparelli to Ferragamo, the biggest brands in the world have showcased their Autumn/Winter 2023 collections – and there been more than a few breathtaking jewelry moments. Below, we round up the top trends from this season’s shows and presentations.

LESS IS MORE

Minimal but mighty, pared-down accessories stood out this season. From blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bracelets to barely-there rings, simplicity took centerstage on the runways at Saint Laurent, Ferragamo, Hermès, Fendi and JW Anderson.

PUT A PIN ON IT

Brooches made a major comeback this year. Our favorites include Schiaparelli’s surrealist version of the evil eye, Coperni’s statement iteration in silver, Louis Vuitton’s trumpet style pin and Gucci’s all-pearl chains hooked to a vibrant blue knit.

BODY LANGUAGE

There was a resurgence of body jewelry this season. This style made a comeback with nail extensions, body chains, and fantasy jeweled bras spotted at Rodarte, Dilara Findikoglu, Paco Rabanne and Puppets and Puppets, among others.

THE BIG NECKLACE

From Alexander McQueen’s XXL flower necklace to Ferragamo’s play on colour and geometry, the statement necklace was all the rage on the runways. Schiaparelli, too, showcased a glittering version with abstract shapes, as the models donned it with matching earrings.

PEARLS & CRYSTALS ARE MAXIMALIST

New-age fashionistas are looking for edgier versions of these ladylike jewels. And, designers like Balmain, Valentino, Brandon Maxwell, and Area offered some exciting options with pearl clusters and crystal chandeliers.
