Multi-finger rings have their spicy origins in the brass knuckles used in street fights. During the 18th century, the Nihang Sikhs used a variation known as Sher Panja, while American Civil War soldiers often made their own at camp by carving a wooden mold and casting them using lead bullets they melted.
EDITOR TIP: Obviously, the triple ring has come a long and polished way from its frisky origins. But it’s definitely an unconventional choice, especially with otherwise classic fashion choices.
