So What Does Your Charm Really Mean? We Asked A Jewelry Historian To Explain

It’s no secret that at Isharya, we’ve always been inspired by India’s rich cultural heritage. When the pandemic hit, around the time we were finalising our fall collection, it just didn’t feel right. We decided to change it up. We created something, all on Zoom might we add, that was more relevant and wearable in this “new normal” that the world was thrust into.

“A piece of jewellery marks every event in a person’s life, every stage in life is commemorated by a specific piece of jewellery” – Dr. Usha Balakrishnan, Jewellery Historian, Curator and Author.

Legacy was born and was filled up to the brim with pieces that really mean something; pieces that make you feel safe, ward off evil, help you stay calm, help you manifest your future and of course, help you create your legacy.

The Tabiz Wish Capsule

“It (jewelry) symbolises wealth but it also creates a shield around the individual. It creates an area of positive energy around a person. It offers protection and repels evil and I think that’s one of the most important roles of jewelry.” – Dr. Usha Balakrishnan

Each charm can be added to a necklace or bracelet of your choice and truly personalized to your taste.
